Hello and good day to all fashion movers and shakers out there. I am a Poshmark shopper/seller here at @nikole_tutton. I am not an ambassador nor am I a wanna-be but a small-time seller who wound up buying more than I sold and am just not about that.
So, how does that happen? Well, being a compulsive shopper living a lonely life after COVID helps. But that's me. The shows are what got me hooked. Poshmark has this wonderful QVC-esque feature called the Live Show where a wonderful community of like-minded individuals get together and SHOP. It can even be a night kinda thing - like with the gemstone ring community. They are so very cordial and sweet. And the bling is so beautiful, it just makes you envision it on your earlobes for that special night out, whenever that happens. If ever. But I love them all so much. It is amazing what a bunch of sisterly love can do for you. shout out to @j_dcollectibles, @blingbyglamma @carolynbessette, @goodasnew2323, @clubgemstone, and @shopsonnu
If your passion is rocks, like mine, check out @joshuatreevibes for very intelligent expertise on raw and polished specimens, big - like almost 5 pounds, and small.
Then there is the dirty jewelry barrel community. Bottom of the barrel stuff - literally, their stuff comes from 55-gallon drums and it is NASTY. Look at their fingers and nails if you don't believe me. it is called "unboxing" but reputable dealers will wipe/wash it with something before they touch it. Not these sellers. They go through it way too fast to bother. The stuff never makes it to their photo pages because it is so damaged and cheap. Then there is the other side of the coin - the sellers who buy from Temu or other wholesalers who deal in unethical labor practices and sell them to you. Which, in my opinion, is fine if they don't misrepresent it as vintage or something it is not. Not something I do but to each seller their own. Do an image search before you buy.
Don't buy from this guy. Just from the looks of him, the gal in the corner looks ok.
And here is a little secret - I never leave less than a five-star review because it is a small community. Unless it comes broken because of the packaging and I WANT the seller to know to change their practices due to an oversight. Then I write a lengthy, very kind explanation and give them a four-star review.
One of the many jewelry purchases that I regret.
So begins my journey of hosting my own shows. Goddess help me because I am not a polished public speaker, nor am I a reserved hostess like those who have gone before me. But I'll give it a go.
